About the Elimlim Clinic
The Elimlim Clinic was established as part of Out of the Ashes Kenya's commitment to reaching the most vulnerable with life-saving healthcare. Situated in the Kitale region, the clinic runs regular outreach activities in surrounding villages, bringing free consultations, laboratory tests, medication, and maternal care to communities that have no other access to healthcare.
Our outreach teams travel to some of the most remote areas of Trans-Nzoia County, setting up temporary clinics under trees and in community halls. Since opening, the clinic has treated over 5,000 patients — many of whom had never seen a doctor before.
"Elimlim" means "education" in the local language — a reminder that healing and learning go hand in hand.
